Hands-On Manufacturing Curriculum for Remote Learning

Ten units of the Core Plus Aerospace curriculum are ready for delivery in school districts across Washington. Customized for remote learning by veteran Washington teachers, these units deliver the fundamentals of manufacturing no matter the learning format, focusing on topics from safety and standard operating procedures to materials science and precision measurement.

The customized curriculum follows a “Read, Watch, Do” format, allowing students to absorb key information, and then put their knowledge to work. The customized units were developed with support from local industry and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction to align with state learning standards and ensure students have the industry-backed skills they will need after high school.
