2022 Core Plus Aerospace Internship and Virtual Manufacturing Fellowship

We’re excited to share two exciting opportunities for Core Plus Aerospace students and recent graduates in 2022. The paid, on-site Summer 2022 Core Plus Aerospace Internship, as well as the unpaid Virtual Manufacturing Fellowship Program, both hosted by The Boeing Company, are accepting applications until March 19. Students enrolled in Core Plus Aerospace courses at Washington high schools during the 2021-22 academic year can apply to the internship here and apply to the fellowship here. Core Plus Aerospace Internship

This year, Boeing is expanding the internship to host 100 students and provide opportunities for more Core Plus Aerospace students and recent graduates to put their manufacturing skills to work and gain career experience.

From June 24 to August 5, interns will work full-time at Boeing facilities in Everett and Renton, where they will build a foundation for successful entry into manufacturing careers and aligned postsecondary programs in fields like aircraft maintenance, mechatronics, applied science, engineering, and more. Students can expect hands-on manufacturing training and skills development, job shadowing, group activities and an innovation challenge, employability skills training and career preparation, and networking and engagement opportunities with Boeing professionals. Find more details in this fact sheet. Apply here. Boeing provides housing for Core Plus Aerospace interns who live more than 70 miles from the Puget Sound region.

Virtual Manufacturing Fellowship

The manufacturing fellowship will run from April 12 to May 6. Fellows will build relationships, industry knowledge, and confidence navigating manufacturing careers. Core Plus Aerospace high school students and community and technical college students from Boeing-partnered programs are encouraged to apply. Students can expect personal sessions with a dedicated Boeing mentor, group panel discussions, manufacturing skill-building activities, employability skills training, and access to post-fellowship support and engagement opportunities.
