Do you work in education? What if you had up to $75,000 to help equip students with manufacturing and career-ready skills that give them multiple options after high school? How would you spend it?
The Washington State Legislature doubled down on its support for Core Plus in 2019, approving it as one of multiple pathways to graduation and allocating $900,000 to be distributed each year via competitive grants to start, maintain, and expand Core Plus Aerospace programs. Last school year, 19 schools received awards ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.
The application window for new grants is open and applications are due September 29th at 4 pm! Funds can be used to support programs during the current school year or to support planning and the launch of new programs in 2021-22.
Check out this fact sheet for more information.
The grant process is facilitated by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and applications should be submitted via the iGrants system. If you do not have an iGrants account, please contact your district office and ask for the iGrants district administrator.
