Washington students need programs that help them be ready to thrive in our ever-evolving economy, reflect the demands of today’s job market, and connect them directly with hands-on career experiences.
Complementing Core Plus Aerospace, AJAC’s Youth Apprenticeship is a two-year registered apprenticeship program crafted for high school juniors and seniors. It’s more than just a program—it’s a launchpad for students to build career-ready skills in advanced manufacturing. Through this apprenticeship, students can finish high school, jumpstart their post-secondary education at no-cost, gain paid work experience alongside seasoned mentors, and embark on a career path that expands their future opportunities. AJAC offers two specialized Youth Apprenticeship programs—Production Technician and Automation Technician—where students dive into careers in machining, programming, maintenance, and automation.
Together, Core Plus Aerospace and AJAC are redefining how high school students can step into the workforce, equipped with in-demand skills for careers they’re passionate about. These innovative programs not only prepare young adults for the future but also empower them to contribute to the local economy—all while earning a paycheck, high school credits, and college credits.
