Everett Community College (EvCC), is training the next wave of aerospace and advanced manufacturing talent in Snohomish County. In a region with a long history in manufacturing, EvCC provides students with the tools and opportunities to enter respected, well-paying careers that provide vital services and support the county’s economy.
“We are deeply connected to the manufacturing community in Snohomish County,” said Renuka Prabhakar, Executive Dean of Professional & Technical Education and Applied Sciences. “Our goal is to provide training for a career, not just a job. We help students discover a path that supports where they want to go in the long term.”

EvCC’s Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace programs serve 460–480 students annually, with steady enrollment growth driven by strong industry demand and expanding opportunities for new high school graduates, adult learners, and people looking for a career change. Students can pursue short- and medium-term certificates, stack credentials toward two-year degrees, or prepare to transfer into bachelor’s programs. All of EvCC’s programs, including welding, precision machining, composites, mechatronics, engineering technology, and aviation maintenance technology, are designed in close partnership with industry.
“We’re really listening to, and working with industry,” said Ryan Masinelli, Associate Dean of Applied Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing. “There’s growing demand for skills in mechatronics, robotics, and automation. We’re aligning programs so students understand not just how to operate systems, but how to troubleshoot and repair them.”
Core Plus Aerospace graduates arrive at EvCC well prepared for this next step. With hands-on experience in skills like safety and blueprint reading, they are ready to succeed in rigorous coursework.

At EvCC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology facility at Paine Field, students train in an environment that mirrors the industry. “Our students graduate ready to succeed,” said Christopher Russell, Interim Associate Dean of Professional & Technical Programs. “The skills they develop here set them up for careers with airlines, aerospace manufacturers, and advanced avionics companies.”
Strong industry alignment ensures students graduate with in-demand skills. From blueprint reading and precision measurement to robotics, automation troubleshooting, and aerospace manufacturing processes; EvCC students build the foundational skills employers want.
