Get your 2020 summer plans in order! The Core Plus Aerospace summer internship, hosted by Boeing, is coming!
There are nearly 300,000 manufacturing jobs in Washington state with an average wage of $87,000 per year, and the door is open to the next generation of workers. The Core Plus Aerospace Summer Internship at Boeing is a great way for students to build on their classroom knowledge, learn directly from Boeing trainers, and develop a foundation for successful entry into manufacturing careers and college and training programs in fields like avionics, applied science, engineering, mechatronics, and more. The five-week, paid summer internship program is open to students at Core Plus Aerospace partner schools (find a location here). The application window is now open and you have until February 29, 2020 to apply. The internship program will run July 10 through August 14, 2020.

You will hear from some of Boeing’s Summer 2019 Core Plus Aerospace interns and workforce development staff about how the internship experience works and what students get from it.
“The Core Plus Aerospace internship is a valuable experience for students because they really learn what it’s like to work in a manufacturing environment,” said Essentia Rivera, Senior Workforce Specialist at Boeing. “The first three weeks, students spend developing hands-on mechanical, electrical, and sealant skills. The final two weeks, they learn employability skills through mock interviews and resume reviews.”
Halima Abdikarani, 2019 intern from Puget Sound Skills Center, said the internship made her feel great because she improved her hands-on and professional skills over the summer.
